MR Dictionary

A database of summary-level genome-wide association study (GWAS) results and a web interface for undertaking linkage disequilibrium (LD) score regression – a method that estimates the single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) heritability of traits (which could be health-related or disease outcomes), partitions this heritability into functional categories, and estimates the genetic correlation between different phenotypes.

Genetic correlation between two traits can be induced through the existence of a causal relationship between those two traits. Therefore, LD Hub can be used not only to automatically estimate the heritability of traits and the shared genetic architecture between two traits but also to identify plausible relationships that can be followed up using MR methodology.
